Sniff… sniff… what will Lila discover?

Inspired by true adventures and lifelong memories from Finland.

Sometimes the most unforgettable journeys begin with the people who have been part of our story the longest. When my best friend asked me to chaperone her daughter to Finland, my first answer was yes. I had no idea how many more yeses that adventure would bring.

Behind The Story

Every Lila adventure begins with a real one!

Sometimes an adventure begins long before you ever board the plane. My high school best friend is Finnish, so Finland had been part of my world for years. When her daughter was preparing to begin her own adventure as an exchange student and needed a chaperone to Finland, of course I said yes.

What started as helping my bestie, became an adventure of my own. The places I discovered and the sights, scents, and memories I brought home eventually found their way into The Arctic Sky Secret.
